Can Tupapa lick their wounds?

After a loss to the mighty Titans last weekend the big question on every cricketer’s lips is, can Tupapa recover from that 80 run loss to get over the Titans this weekend?

Up for grabs is The Computer Man Champion of Champions trophy which will be played on neutral territory Turangi under the watchful eyes of neutral umpires Ata Emile and Oliver Syme.

A real coming of age this season has seen 17-year-old Pastor Zekaria become one of the Titans’ most valuable players. Zekaria has been a run scoring machine of late turning out a century against Nikao and a match-winning half century against Tupapa last Saturday. Captain Hori Miller, Nic Rous and Chauncey Flay occupy the next three top run scorers for the Titans and they will all want desperately to perform well against a strong Tupapa bowling line-up which includes Tupapa’s top wicket takers Toala Teinaki and Wayken Punga.

Runs haven’t been a problem for Tupapa this season with Toala ‘The Tank’ Teinaki scoring over 400 runs, Patiiamai Ataela over 300 and Junior Korua near on 200, however they have their work cut out for them against leading Titans bowlers Flay, sprightly Kieran Thorpe and Zekaria.

Two tough teams in a big occasion final – be at Turangi Cricket Oval for the 3:15pm start to see the game unfold and witness the 2013 The Computer Man Champion of Champions contenders in action.
