The Rarotonga Netball Centre (RNC) held a special general meeting this week to elect its executive committee and confirm its ambassador.
The netball centre is charged with setting up and running the Rarotonga domestic netball competition which provides an opportunity for club administrators to further their skills.
Three clubs attended the meeting, but three tendered apologies due to bereavement and other commitments.
Former Silver Fern and dedicated netballer Margharet Matenga was unanimously confirmed as the ambassador for the Rarotonga Netball Centre.
To ensure all clubs are given the opportunity to vote in the new Executive Committee, it was agreed that a further and last meeting be held at 6.30pm on Thursday, December 8, at the CISNOC office in Avarua specifically for this purpose.
Nominations for the RNC Executive Committee positions were also reopened.
If you are interested in a position, please contact your club executive or NCI for further details. Nominations close at 5pm on Wednesday, December 7.
Positions available for the Rarotonga Netball Centre include president, vice president, secretary, treasurer, competition manager, sponsorship/marketing coordinator, media co-coordinator, judiciary co-coordinator and coaching co-coordinator.
Support and training will be available to the new executive committee members.
