Business house golf tees off

The Business house golf ambrose starts today and tomorrow for 11 weeks, with break during the Christmas and New Year period.

The conveners for 2010/11, Ned Howard, and his working committee anticipate another high turnout for the long 11 week tournament.

This tournament will test the caliber of non playing members who would like to take an interest in playing golf as an alternative sport.

Golf is now an Olympic Sport and every Cook Islander around the world whether you are young, old, amateur, and professional will be vying for a position in the fraternity of golf.

Major sponsors of this tournament is the key to success to the annual business house golf and major sponsor such as Air Rarotonga, CITC, Palm Grove, Turtles, Vonnias, Telecom, Edgewater, Computer-man, BCI, FBI, ANZ, Timbertech, Raro Backpackers, 88FM and many more sponsors still showing great interest

There are a total of 50 teams playing over two days with a total number of 300 players on the course. Prizes ranges from closest to the pin, longest drive, best gross, best nett, hole in one and best uniforms. Marshalls will be recruited on two days to manage the flow of the game and compliance with the rule of golf.

To open the event for this year there will be live band over the two days to liven up players to the mood of social golf and meals will be available at the golf club for all the hungry players.
