The Titikaveka Bulldogs and Tupapa Panthers will open up round two of the 2012 rugby league season today with two games scheduled for this afternoon at the Titikaveka field.

At 4pm the Bulldogs under 16 team will rumble with their Panthers counterpart before the reserve grade take to the field.

Remaining grade games between these two clubs will be run on Saturday – also at the Titikaveka field. Meanwhile in Avatiu, defending champions the Eels will host their Warrior brothers from the Takuvaine valley.

Games at Avatiu will start at 12pm with the under 16 grade. The premier grade match between these two clubs will kick off at 4pm. Out West, the Bears will want to tear into the season when they take on the Ngatangiia-Matavera Sea Eagles.

The Sea Eagles drew 24-all with the Panthers last week and will want to register a win against the Bears who were wounded last week by the Eels 22-4.

However, it was the Bears that looked sharper and consistent on the field against the Eels and everyone knows that a wounded Bear is a dangerous one.

Games at Raemaru Park will start at 1pm with the under 13 grade before the premier grade players take to the field for their clash at 5pm.
