Todays golden oldies rugby game will be played at the Tupapa field kicking off at 4.30pm.

Last weeks game in Sharks territory in Rutaki started with a hiss and a roar.

Referee Johnny Hosking talked to the players about over-rigorous playing, but it always takes two to tango and on this occasion Jeff was an innocent bystander when he got bowled by a giant of a man called Sam da man who is one of the newcomers to the golden oldies game.

The youngsters showed their speed but the deeds of some spoiled an otherwise good game. The secretary will have an armful of rules for you all to refresh your minds before you take the field at Tupapa.

After the game in Rutaki it was off to the Caf Hilton by the sea just over the Cowboys boundary in Vaiimaanga where a very pleasant after match function was hosted by the Sharks.

The Tupapa and legends club to supply the jerseys please and all are welcome to come and watch and play if you in the 35 plus golden oldies category just make sure you read the rules before taking to the field.
