Once again the Matavera Football Club will be hosting this week’s mid week football match against the Arorangi Football Club at the Takitumu school grounds, with the first match to kick off at 4.15pm in the under 14 boys division today.

Under the guidance of Billy Foster, Arorangi looks to be strong contenders for Danny Williams’ under 14 boys pack.

Both teams are confident on the field of play and have won their games since the kick off of the 2012 football season.

Following the under 14 boys match is the CIPS Image & Copy Centre women’s championship to be played at 5pm.

In the Lotto Premiership match tomorrow, Arorangi will have their sights set for a win against Matavera, with the likes of Paul Luiz controlling the Arorangi defence while youngsters Dwayne Taio and Benjamin Heather will no doubt fluster the Matavera defence.

After Matavera’s 1-0 loss against Takuvaine last weekend, they are no doubt gunning to take their first win for this season.

And John Pareanga will look to close any gaps in the Matavera defence while speedster Roimata Moetaua will be dangerous with any loose ball floating his way.

Prior to the premier men’s match the under 14 girls will play at 4.15pm. - CIFA Media
