Arorangi hold out Takuvaine

Arorangi Cricket Club’s up-and-coming junior star Pahina Lapana smacks the ball against Takuvaine on Saturday.

Arorangi battered first to reach 182 runs all out with star batsman Keith ‘Kiri’ Yeutua scoring 82 runs from 61 balls.

Takuvaine had a much better performance this week and put up a valiant performance with the bat but could only make 152 runs all out.

Arorangi’s Henry Geary was a stand out with the ball take 5/53 including a hat trick maiden.

In other games Avatiu were 116 all out and lost to Matavera who scored 120 with two wickets left.

Davana battered first against Muri and were all out for 97.

Muri easily reached the target scoring 99 runs for the loss of one wicket.
