Another two more weeks of rugby sevens competition starts again this weekend with all matches to be played at the Ngatangiia rugby field.
This is the third week of a four-week local club rugby sevens competition designed to keep local players fit and in rugby sevens mode ahead of the main event of the year the International Sevens in Heaven tournament to be held on November 3-5.
This is tournament two of the four-week programme and Saturdays game will be the pool play with the quarters, semi finals and grand final to be played next week.
The Saturday afternoon programme is designed to reflect that of the international sevens which means that local rugby sevens team will be serious contenders for the main international sevens trophy.
This weekends Pools A and B were decided after last weeks finish with both cup-finalists the Eels (Pool A) and Panthers (Pool B) heading their respective pools.
Other teams in Pool A are the Cowboys, Dragons and Police team.
Pool B headed by the Panthers will include the Reds, Atiu Warriors and the Titikaveka Bulls.
All teams will play three games this week which will decide the draw for next weekend, so expect some more hard and fast sevens rugby this weekend at the Ngatangiia field kicking off at 2pm.
Some teams will be missing some of their national representative players who will be absent for the next two weekends on national rugby sevens duty in Samoa for the Oceania Sevens Qualifier.
