7s battle

The Eels were crowned the CITC Rarotonga Club Sevens competition winners on Saturday even though the Tupapa Panthers won the week four sevens grand final 12-7 against the Eels.

It was a fitting final match with the scores locked 7-7 at fulltime and the game forced into golden point extra time.

The panthers were able to break away and get the winning try with a 40m sprint by national sevens representative Teina Savage.

In third place was the Arorangi Cowboys.
