2 new squads named

After the highly successful CITC pre-season sevens competition – players have been selected to train and form the Rarotonga senior sevens squad and a development squad.

These players will compete in the CITC Constitution Cup sevens tournament in August and they will have the opportunity to be selected for the National sevens team that will head to the Oceania sevens qualifier in Darwin in October.

Aitutaki is in preparation mode for this also and they will bring a team of the island’s fastest and strongest sevens players for the Constitution Sevens Tournament to clash with their Rarotonga counterparts between August 4 and 7.

If the national side is successful in Darwin, the Cook Islands will be back on the 2011 IRB sevens circuit in Wellington and Adelaide.

These players and anyone else interested are asked to be at the BCI Stadium on Monday June 28 at 5pm with your boots and running shoes for the first training run.
