The first duathlon of the year will be staged today at the Nikao site opposite the Social Centre beach in Nikao.
Today’s course distance will include the longer 3km run, 16km bike and 3km run and the shorter 2km run, 8km cycle and 1km run.
However, course distances will start increasing over the next couple of weeks to include an airport and hospital hill loop or two to keep things challenging.
Duathlon races start at 5.15pm.
