Humpback whales pass by the Cook Islands between July and October every year, part of a more than 6,000 kilometre journey from Antarctica to the warmer waters of the South Pacifi c where they mate, give birth and rest.

Watching massive humpback whales perform spectacular leaps from the water as they pass through Cook Islands waters is an amazing sight and one that increasing numbers of visitors want to experience for themselves.
