Cabinet meets for first time in 2015

The Government is preparing for its first Cabinet meeting of the year, to be held on Rarotonga tomorrow. Prime Minister Henry Puna announced the meeting last week and also agreed to a post-Cabinet press conference. It is expected topics will include upcoming legislative changes such as the Family Law Bill and the New Crime Act, both hoped to target family violence. All Ministers have indicated they will be staying on Rarotonga next week. The PM will attend a number of international meetings this year, but details are yet to be finalised.
