Paddlers battle ‘cyclonic’ conditions

Paddlers from the Cook Islands and overseas battled rough conditions on the opening day of the 2017 Matson Vaka Eiva competition. The testing weather which one visitor said borded on “cyclonic”, meant the races were shortened by nearly 50 per cent.
