NAURU – A refugee remains in a critical condition after setting himself on fire on Nauru, in what the Nauruan Government has described as a “political protest”.
PAPUA NEW GUINEA – Papua New Guinea Prime Minister Peter O’Neill said the closure of the refugee processing centre on Manus Island would have a negative effect on the island’s economy and the government will work with Australia to minimise damage to businesses and workers.
