Nukuroa women showed they had put in hours of practice to perfect this depiction of the island's iconic itiki eel as they dance around an inaki or traditional eel trap during their 2012 Te Maeva Nui cultural show. The island has now placed a raui on the delicacy in preparations for a number of big events on the island in 2016. Story below.
