‘Speechless’ about elderly vaccination

Dear Editor, it gave me a slight shock reaction when Elder Verokura Andrew updated their vaccination trip.

Did Te Marae Ora say it was for a 92-year-old to get a booster vaccination?

She firmly replied yes.

She said it was as they both boarded their car transportation up to the Rarotonga Hospital on Monday December 20 at around 7.45am.

I was so speechless to hear an awesome message of marvel, humility and inner peace that this 92-yearold old born again seasoned saint would consider of utmost importance to protect herself.

And in doing so, is protecting also those closest to her and anyone else in the wider community.

A Big High tens to you both Sister Vero and Mama Tapu Andrew.

It was indeed amazing how things flowed easily and orderly as both Mama Pere and I took our ride up the hill soon after at 8am, and by 8.15am we were done and out in the exit departure area ready for our down the hill ride to our car.

So began our day and to this no hiccups - all glory to Jesus.

A word of encouragement to all apostolic pastors, first families, church officers and all beloved saints of the most high God throughout our beloved Cook Islands.

Get blessed and protected – add no undue and unnecessary pressure and burden to our TMO should this demonic pandemic find its own way through some weak minded and unsanctioned disobedient minds as seen on the world scene.

Our very first Bishop and Apostle James of Jerusalem says in Chapter 2: 20, "But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead. 21, Was not Abraham our father justified by works, when he had offered Isaac his son upon the altar? Seest thou how faith wrought with his works and by works was faith made perfect.24, Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only".

And, finally, Jesus in John 16:33b says, "...In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world".

This is but preparation, before any cyclone or Covid hits.

We are prepared people under all circumstances and situations.

Be blessed in Jesus.

Bishop Tutai Pere
