NES provided the findings from its assessment of the excessive stormwater run-offs and issued the notice letter to all operators as a level playing field.

The Vaimaanga hotel development stage is subject to an EIA permit which is currently prepared by the applicants.

The maintenance work now being carried out on this site has ongoing monitoring work by the NES team. NES will issue a stop work notice if the current maintenance work is in breach of the Environment Act 2003.
