The Bluesky Mixed Touch Competition headed into its last round of games with Bluesky and KAPS kicking off in a closely contested match last week. Team Bluesky worked hard but found the wet conditions trying. The more experienced KAPS played strategically well in using their girls to control the match and win 5-4. KAPS secures third place on the points table and will head into the Cup playoffs. The second game saw Team ATT take on General Transport in an entertaining match. A few spectacular run away tries from Team ATT put the game out of reach for General Transport, winning the game 7-3 to secure a berth in the top 4. The second round of games saw two evenly matched teams, Tereora#cozwecan and Airport battle it out. Both teams not only gave it their all but enjoyed themselves finishing the game locked at 3 all. Meanwhile, 007 continues its good form winning over the unpredictable Mangaia 3 to 1 and sealing its position as top of the points ladder. Today will be the playoff for the Bluesky Men’s competition. The winners of today’s games will go on to the finals next week with the losers playing off for 3rd and 4th place next week on Easter Monday. - CI Touch Results Bluesky 4 KAPS 5, Team ATT 7 General Transport 3, Tereora 3 Airport 3, Mangaia 1 007 3, Touch Squad 4 ICI 3.
