How can the political leaders of this country set good examples to the younger generation about respecting the rule of law and abiding to the country’s laws when Police Minister Teariki Heather continues to drive his $60,000-plus tax-funded Ford pickup with the front number plate deliberately removed? The only valid reason the number plate has been removed from this luxury Ford pickup is to minimise any further bad public relations.

Dear Editor, Reading the revelation by the minister Teina Bishop in CI News on Saturday 27 July about the sale and purchase of the Orongo and Bounty, it was clear that the Bishop purchased the Bounty to help previous owners and he still has a $43,000 debt hanging around his neck on his purchase of the Orongo, and not a good outcome for him.
