Dear Editor, It has been rumoured for months that New Zealand gangs have been scouting Rarotonga to set up a chapter or new HQ. I think we have all seen people walking around at the market and driving around displaying their patches proudly.

Dear Editor, I wanted to thank the good Bishop Tutai Pere publicly for improving my married and home life after I read his article last week in Cook Islands News and then, more importantly, read it to my wife. I started by telling my good woman that from now on I would do all the reading and that she would understand why after she had heard what the Bishop had to say about the role of women on earth and indeed in God’s kingdom.

Dear Editor, Don’t sack the DPM yet. Let him dress the Muri lagoon from Avana to Avaavaroa. I believe he is the only one capable of doing the job. He does less talk and walks the hard yards. That’s the problem with us locals, when one of us is successful we spend the rest of our lives trying to drag them down. Good on you DPM. We have a natural disaster to be addressed immediately.

Dear Editor, Without responding to Brett Porter’s unfortunate habit of hiding weak arguments within personal insults, I should point out that “PAC” is not the same as “PERCA”. PAC reports to Parliament: it is a watchdog independent of government. PERCA is a government committee, appointed by government with the same function in regard to government as an internal audit group would have in regard to a private business.

Really, you are blaming Papa Norm for this as well. Some useless old sod is picking on Papa Norm for a successful mosquito eradication programme which was a last resort to a Dengue epidemic we were facing in early 2000. Sounds like this egg would prefer we walk around the island in a long line from the beach to the hills trying to smack out every mosquito and turn over every stone or used tyre. Stop blaming others and start providing proactive ways to address the issue. Maybe your micro thought process needs a reboot. By the way the Operation Namu Programme was very successful. So thank you Papa Norm.
