Dear Editor, A good place to learn about the history of traditional leaders and the ‘kopu tangata’, their roles and customs is during the land court sittings.

Dear Editor, I have so far kept quiet in regards to the taxation of superannuates but after reading the article featuring Don Reid in this morning’s paper (A pensioners view on tax, April 24) I feel I must add my two cents worth.

'Take their points'

Dear Editor, I want to highlight another reason why the Cook Islands Rugby League 1 year stand down rule is dumb– because it doesn’t just apply to the premier grade! This dumb rule applies to the whole club, yes, every age grade in every club – did the scientists on the CIRL board really think about what they were doing? Did they specify in the rules this only applies to the premier grade – no they didn’t.

Dear Editor, Clearly, Mr Worthington likes to get lost in pointless arguments (They have larger reefs than ours, April 15th) and instead of proposing solutions he attacks my ’status’ by relegating my opinion to ’secondary’ - but not so secondary that it was not enough to prompt him to put pen to paper again.

Friday 19 April 2013 | Published in Letters to the Editor

Dear Editor, How long must the driving public of this country have to put up with the unsealed roading in Tupapa before they are re-sealed? It’s OK for the PM and his cabinet ministers who, when in country, zoom along in their modern, GA tax-funded plush vehicles over the dug up roads without a care in the world and not feeling any bumps.

Dear Editor, Probably like a great majority of the folks in this country who are not ultra-conservative, religious zealots or don’t have a stone-age mentality, I am both appalled and outraged that an individual who was recently found guilty of selling a few grams of marijuana has been forced to rot in jail for four months before the judge hands down his sentence in August.
