Dear Editor, I heard on radio, yesterday (Monday), that tickets to the dance festivities at the national auditorium during Te Maeva Nui, will range from $30 to $50, and that it will cost $10 to view the proceedings on an outside screen – each night!

Dear Editor, In the New Zealand Listener magazine dated May 9-15, Colin Tukuitonga, described as ‘the Pacific nations’ chief advocate’, reported that our Prime Minister Henry Puna had told him he was thinking of giving up the Cook Islands’ New Zealand citizenship and the New Zealand passport.
