Yoga; the Heart

Tuesday 2 July 2013 | Published in Health

A lot of people in New Age and Yoga circles talk about opening our heart and freeing our mind, and just as many if not more wonder what that really means and for what purpose? I’ve worked with clients who are quite happy in the world of materialism and playing the corporate games to get ahead, make more money, buy bigger cars, houses etc, and I also have worked with many people in that world who think they are happy and yet when they begin to look within they find a minefield of dissolution, bitterness, frustration along with stress related health problems like heart disease, stroke, depression, digestive issues, sleep disorders, anxiety, and more.

Monday 24 June 2013 | Published in Health

How many times last week did someone say to you, slow down, relax, chill out, calm down, stop worrying, don’t stress, it will be okay? Or how many times last week did someone’s words, actions or mere presence trigger you into reacting in anger, frustration or a less than calm manner? Most of the time we deal with things by brushing them off or blaming the other person, often telling ourselves that it/they don’t matter when in reality there is a twinge in our heart and a pull on our hurt-strings.
