The three cases were all separate and in isolation, and Atiu Island Council mayor Nooroa Paratinga said Te Marae Ora (TMO) had swung into action very quickly after the three tested positive.
“We are not too worried, the team here is keeping everyone safe,” Paratinga said.
“We have been working with TMO, and the community knows what to do.”
Meanwhile, the number of Covid-19 cases on Rarotonga has reached 4500 since the pandemic began.
The island recorded 39 new cases on Wednesday, while Aitutaki recorded 16 to bring them up to 180 cases.
There have been three cases in Penrhyn, one case in Mitiaro and three cases in Mauke.
Since the pandemic began, there have been 4990 cases in the Cook Islands, of which 374 cases are still active.
