Umu, hotpots and barbequed plates of food will be available from 7.30am.
Fresh produce and a variety of food including hotpot delights, desserts and cold drinks will also be on sale and the school raffle will be drawn at the conclusion of the Gala. Tickets can be purchased at school (there are only a few remaining, so sales will be on a first-come basis).
The Cook Islands Police will also have a marquee and display setup to promote cyber safety.
Nukutere College principal Delaney Yaqona says the proceeds raised from the Gala and raffles will go towards the running of the school (resources and maintenance) for the next two years.
Seats and shady spots are available for those who wish to enjoy their food on the school grounds; and from 11am, popular local musicians Tani and Rose will provide live soothing lunch-time entertainment.
“We welcome everyone to come along to show their support,” said Yaqona.
