The workshop led by Dr. Evangeline Daniela-Wong will be held tomorrow afternoon for members of the Cook Islands Tourism Industry Council.
Council president Liana Scott said the mood in the tourism industry had changed from anxiety last year to now pessimism.
A previous mental health workshop was held by the council last year in April that centred around business resilience and survival.
Scott said for this workshop Daniela-Wong would look at growth mindset models.
“Often the therapy of talking through issues in a confidential setting particularly when facing severe financial hardship is very meaningful, predominantly when there are synergies of anxiety and stress that are shared amongst the audience members,” Scott said.
“Taking care of oneself ensures we are able to cope and take care of others.”
She said the feedback at the workshop last year was very positive including from people who were first critical of similar workshops.
The mental health workshop is for Cook Island Tourism Industry Council members only. Scott said food would be provided and there were limited spaces.
