Tuesday 31: This year’s dancer of the year competition has been delayed because of the number of activities happening over the coming weeks.

The national junior and intermediate finals will now be held on April 30, not April 24 as first scheduled, while the senior finals will take place on May 7 – two weeks after the original date.

The junior/intermediate finals will involve 10 boys and 10 girls in each division.

There will be no eliminations for Rarotonga-based dancers, with the National Auditorium being tied up with preparations for the Miss Cook Islands pageant this Friday, and Cook Islands Games sports events being staged there from next week. The eliminations were supposed to begin this Friday.

The papa’a/expatriate final will now be held on April 27, and the oldies event on May 4. - Moana Moeka’a
