Readers could help solve a pigeon puzzle
Pacific pigeons (rupe) are well known for their love of palm tree nuts, but now it seems they're also acquiring a liking for spicier fare. This photo was sent to us by Lynda Nia, who photographed a rupe checking out some very hot red chillis. The picture was taken in a garden in the Tupapa Heights Rd area which regularly attracts rupe and fruit doves (kukupa). 16082106
