Rarotonga treasures come home
For Margaret Bake (right) her maiden trip to Rarotonga has been a mission. A mission to return a treasure trove of artefacts to the island where they belong. Yesterday Bake presented the prized artefacts to Museum Cook Islands president Gerald McCormack (left) and curator Jean Mason.

“It’s been very emotional,” 78-year-old Margaret Bake begins with a trembling voice, followed by a pause to interrupt a flood of emotion and to regain her composure.
