Getting in some practice yesterday in preparation for sounding the pu (conch shell) at today's Makea Ariki investiture was TJ Daniel. The sound of the pu will be heard at several diff erent locations during today's historic ceremony.
In one of the most important traditional ceremonies to be held on Rarotonga for many years, George Freddric Taripo’s (Tama Ariki) investiture will begin at 6am today.
