Our very own “orchid queen” is lighting up the island with her beautiful array of blossoming buds. Ingrid Caffery shows off some of the eye-catching orchids she grows on her property. Coloured yellow, purple and pink, the flowers are now in full blooming season. In fact, some of her plants have been practically stripped bare by Miss Cook Islands organisers who have used the stunning flowers as decorations for this year's pageant. Caffery, who has been growing orchids for 15 years, says the stunning blooms also grow naturally in some parts of Rarotonga. 15102911
