The Cook Islands Triathlon Association is looking forward to the Annual BSP and KPMG Team Tri Competition this Saturday, February 1, at the Tikioki Tri Site.

Interested teams are encouraged to come and participate in what is always a massively fun day, says Cook Islands Triathlon president Roland Neururer.

The short course of 200 metre swim, 8-kilometre bike and 2km run will be undertaken in teams of three, with each team completing the distance three times. 

Registration is at 1pm with the race starting at 2pm sharp. The registration fee for individual entries is $15.

“Sports teams, banks, government departments, families, church groups, businesses and a number of youngsters always line up to compete and have fun with their friends and families,” Neururer said.

Neururer is also happy to assist people to make up a team, so if you fancy giving it a go but don’t yet have a team, feel free to call him on 55077.

“Bring a mat and some snacks, cheer on your friends and join in a wonderful fun afternoon.”

Registration for this event closes at 2pm on Friday. Late entries will be accepted up to race day however these will incur a $10 late fee. Registration can be done by email to fb1@edgewater.co.ck
