CITA President Vou Williams shared “the past four rounds have been thrilling to watch and it’s been awesome to see touch enthusiasts making the most of their Monday evenings on the 7-metre.
“We truly appreciate everyone’s efforts in making this competition a success thus far. A special acknowledgment goes out to our dedicated officials, many of whom are also players, for their time and passion in ensuring the games run smoothly week-in and week-out. We are sincerely grateful”
To add excitement to the finals, CITA is reintroducing the three-division format.
Based on round-robin standings:
· The top two teams from Pool A and Pool B will compete in the MANA Division.
· Teams ranked 3rd and 4th will form the MOANA Division.
· Teams ranked 5th and 6th will compete in the TOA Division.
“This format keeps the competition fierce and engaging for all teams while honouring Cook Islands’ cultural heritage.
“It also sets the stage for an exciting finals series that celebrates sport, culture and most importantly, team camaraderie,” says the CITA president.
CITA welcomes the community to the stadium to witness and be part of the excitement of action-packed touch games. CITA
