After a sweat out on Saturday against top-drawers Nikao Sokattak, it is no doubt that Matavera will be a tough team for Puaikura to beat this time around.
With a sturdy defense, this Matavera team will want to keep a clean sheet tomorrow and use any chances created to score the much-needed goals.
Hosts Puaikura will want to redeem themselves and gain back their confidence with a win tomorrow. A team also known for their defensive play, Puaikura will be hoping their forwards deliver when opportunities arise in the match.
The Islander women’s game between the two clubs will be played today.
Defending champions Puaikura, known for their aggressive play and straight forward attacking, is made up of mostly young talents.
Like most teams in the competition, they also pride in solid defensive play but are equally good in attack especially with their fierce and speedy forwards.
Matavera will need to stay focused in the match to keep Puaikura’s nippy forwards at bay.
Matavera has improved on their attacking play with every game, and boasts talented midfielders who keep their opponents on their toes. They will need to keep this momentum going when playing Puaikura.
Today’s fixtures will start with the BSP U15 Boys match at 4pm while the BSP U15 Girls will play at 4pm before the premier men’s clash tomorrow.
