The highly anticipated three-day Beach Football Tournament, part of the Cook Islands Beach Games 2025, wrapped up earlier this week, leaving players and spectators buzzing with excitement.

The tournament, which kicked off on Monday at the National Beach Courts in Nikao, brought together 10 talented teams from across the Island, all eager to showcase their skills on the sandpit.

Athletes from both the men’s and women’s categories went head-to-head in a thrilling display of teamwork, passion, and raw athleticism. The competition was fierce, but the atmosphere was filled with camaraderie, fun and energetic vibes throughout the entire event.

In the men’s competition, it was the Outlaws, who claimed the coveted top spot, earning the gold medal after a series of intense matches. Their relentless drive and tactical play set them apart, and they were the team to beat from the very start.

In a hard-fought battle for second place, the Bush Boys finished as runners-up, delivering a stellar performance throughout the tournament. The third-place honour went to the Beach Bums, who fought valiantly but ultimately fell short of a higher podium finish.

In the women’s competition, the Vibers showed no signs of slowing down, clinching the gold medal after a flawless display of skill and finesse. Their quick footwork and sharp passes were key to their dominant performances on the field.

The Spice Bae fought hard to secure the silver, with each match seeing them rise to the challenge and show their grit. Meanwhile, the Outlaws women’s team showed great determination to take home the bronze in a closely contested final.

The tournament was a resounding success, bringing together players from different backgrounds and fostering a spirit of sportsmanship and friendly competition. The Cook Islands Beach Games 2025 continues to grow as a marquee event, attracting athletes and visitors from around the Cook Islands

Cook Islands Football Association congratulates all the teams, and a special shoutout to the Outlaws, Vibers, Bush Boys, Spice Baes, and Beach Bums for their outstanding performances.

The association looks forward to next year’s tournament.
