The weekend is here, and football enthusiasts can expect an action-packed day as clubs from around Rarotonga come together to showcase their skills on the field today.

After witnessing enthralling midweek games between Titikaveka FC and Puaikura FC, the excitement continues with 10 matches scheduled for today. The teams that will go head-to-head include Tupapa Maraerenga FC, Matavera-Ngatangiia FC, Avatiu FC, and Nikao Sokattak FC.

The grassroots matches were in full swing at the CIFA complex on Wednesday, where a total of 11 matches were played between the U6, U8, U10, and U12 categories. Budding talents displayed their prowess on the field as they represented their respective clubs with pride.

Today's lineup promises an extravagant display of football from some of the seasoned players. At Tupapa Field, five exciting matches are set to unfold. The day kicks off at 11:15 am with the U15 Boys category, where Tupapa FC will take on Matavera-Ngatangiia FC. The girls’ U15 teams from both clubs follow at 12:15 pm.

Fans of the men’s category can look forward to a thrilling encounter between the U18 men’s teams at 1:15 pm. Afterward, women’s teams from both clubs face each other at 2:40 pm before the Premier Men seize fans' attention at 4:20 pm.

Simultaneously, another five matches are scheduled at CIFA complex for a face-off between Avatiu FC and Nikao Sokattak FC. At 11:15 am, footballers in the U15 Boys division will prepare for an intense battle followed by their female counterparts in the U15 Girls category at 12:15 pm.

Later in the afternoon, the U18 Men's teams from both clubs will take centre stage at 1:15 pm. The women's teams will follow at 2:40 pm, and finally, the Premier Men's teams will face each other at 4:20 pm in what promises to be a thrilling conclusion to the day's events.
