Today promises an action-packed day of football, with two thrilling fixtures set to unfold across Rarotonga.

At the CIFA Complex, Matavera-Ngatangiia FC will square off against Titikaveka FC in the 2024 Rarotonga Round Cup, while at Raemaru Park, Puaikura FC will host Nikao Sokattak FC, both featuring key battles in the Premier Men’s and Senior Women’s divisions, while the youth teams will also compete..

The day’s action kicks off with youth games at 11:15am, leading up to the highly anticipated senior fixtures in the afternoon.

For the Premier Men’s match, Matavera comes into this game sitting in a strong 2nd place in the league with 21 points, while Titikaveka, positioned 6th with just 7 points, will be eager to climb the standings with a much-needed win.

In the senior women’s match, Matavera-Ngatangiia will look to carry the momentum from their recent win over Avatiu, with their midfield set to play a crucial role in controlling possession and launching attacks.

On the other side, Titikaveka will rely heavily on the leadership and work rate of Edwina Matenga, whose vision and passing can spark attacks from deep in midfield. 

At Raemaru Park, the Premier Men’s Puaikura FC and Nikao Sokattak FC will be equally captivating.

In senior women’s matches Puaikura will focus on possession-based approach, using their midfield to control the game and progress the ball quickly into attacking areas.
