A group of Australian swimmers from Bondi Beach, known as the “4 Seasons Swim”, have arrived in Rarotonga just in time for the 2024 Cook Islands Games.

Fourteen swimmers from the visiting group arrived with the goal of swimming and experiencing the beautiful oceans of the Cook Islands.

Last night, they were at the National Stadium in Nikao to witness the opening ceremony of the biennial event, featuring over 3000 athletes from 11 island teams competing in over 25 codes across a two-week period.

The opening ceremony provided them with a perfect opportunity to learn more about the Cook Islands and its culture.

Zoe Little, who has visited the country three times, initiated the idea to bring her swimmers group to the Cook Islands.

She said they were looking forward to the remainder of the Cook Islands Games while also learning more about the country.

“We’re a group of swimmers who love swimming and this is my third time being here and when I went back, I wanted to bring my friends who love to swim, to the Cook Islands. We just arrived today (yesterday) and it just so happened that we arrived in time for this impressive event,” Little said.

“We’ll be here in Raro for three days then four days in Aitutaki, and all we came here to do is swim and explore the beautiful beaches and oceans of the Cook Islands.”

The “4 Seasons Swim” group is based in Sydney and made up of adults and friends who share a goal of staying fit and living an exciting life.

They are looking forward to attending the swimming competition at the Cook Islands Games. The three-day aquatics events will start today and end on Tuesday.
