WAKA netball team from Australia won the 2023 Netball in Paradise mixed division.

WAKA president Mo Hosea said this was their third year participating in the tournament, with their teams having previously lost the mixed division grand final in each of the past two years.

“We have a group of 35 players that came from Perth and will be returning in 2025 with at least three teams but hoping for five.”

Hosea said they also made some donations to Netball Cook Islands.

Meanwhile, the Netball in Paradise 2023 competition held at the National Sports Arena in Nikao ended on Thursday with the awards night held last night at The Islander Hotel.

The annual event had 23 teams from New Zealand and Australia participating.

The final results were not available when this edition went to print last night.
