Netball season gains momentum

Earlier this week on Wednesday saw the Arorangi and Tupapa clubs both field an Open 1s and Open 2s team – a pleasant surprise in comparison to last week when both clubs only fielded an Opens 1s team.

Although it is early in the season, the Takuvaine Open 1s and 2s and the Ngatangiia/Matavera Open 1s have had back to back wins. 

The results for the Open games which were played on Wednesday afternoon are as follows: Takuvaine vs Titikaveka (Takuvaine scores first) Open 1: 25-15, Open 2: 27 - 15; Ngatangiia/Matavera vs Tupapa (Nga/Mat scores first) Open 1: 18 - 11, Open 2: 21 - 22; Arorangi vs Avatiu (Arorangi scores first) Open 1: 30 - 15, Open 2: 17 - 20.

Today’s games start from 11am with young and upcoming players, the 6U-15U players, starring on the court.

Takuvaine will be hosting Titikaveka, Ngatangiia/Matavera will battle Tupapa at home and Arorangi taking on Avatiu at Raemaru courts.
