The men’s team brought their A-game in their clash against New Caledonia, taking control of three out of the four quarters. Despite trailing by a single point in the final quarter, their commanding lead was enough to secure an emphatic 94-73 win and an 8th place finish.

Key players led the charge with standout performances. Calvyn Valoa showcased exceptional versatility, earning a game-high efficiency rating of 24, coupled with 5 assists and 2 blocks. His ability to control the pace and contribute defensively was crucial to the team's success. Meanwhile, Rocco Brown emerged as the top scorer, delivering 20 points with a blend of precision and composure.

On the defensive front, Joshua Marsters was a force in the paint, securing 14 rebounds and denying New Caledonia second-chance opportunities. Cohen Russell’s tenacity shone through with 4 crucial steals, setting up fast breaks and keeping the opposition on the back foot. The women’s team fought valiantly against a determined Fijian side in their final match. Despite their best efforts, they fell 50-32, settling for 8th place. Fiji's aggressive play style and defensive pressure tested the Cook Islands, but several players stood out.

Cassidy Karika led the team with an impressive efficiency rating of 17 and was the top scorer with 19 points. Her ability to find scoring opportunities under tight defence kept the team competitive throughout the game.

Additionally, Karika contributed significantly on the defensive end with 3 blocks and 4 steals, demonstrating her all-around prowess.
