It must be tough for our local cinema with online streaming so respect to the Napa family for keeping it going through these trying times.

But can we please have the occasional movie for grown-ups rather than the endless superhero rubbish and cartoons? Watching a good movie on the big screen with others is still a fun night out.

Can’t understand this news article from Numangatini Ariki. Along with himself, the new Mayor and Executive Officer was all a planned for them to go to Mangaia and take up leadership. They all hold senior office within the current CIP government. Instead of complaining, why not point out what are they going to do and develop the island. This article is senseless. It’s like shooting themselves in the foot. It is right for him to say that the island has been ignored ‘from his CIP led government for the last two terms?’

Vodafone has been digging trenches around Rarotonga for a long time now, very costly exercise. Many man hours involved and those trenches are mostly right alongside the TAU power poles, which carry above ground power cables. Has anyone ELSE wondered whether Vodafone and TAU actually had any discussions about sharing those trenching costs, and putting green Vodafone cables alongside TAU power cables, inside their own conduits of course. Would seem to make sense to the man on the street … trench already dug, and power cables go underground safely, away from hurricane/tree damage, not to mention drunk drivers hitting power poles … everyone wins. Hopefully there will be a full public response from both Vodafone and TAU, justifying this incredibly ridiculous situation. Should make interesting reading.
