Talk to your children, come to some solution for both parent and child. Unfortunately, this is a trend among teenagers, not just in the Cook Islands but all over the world. The situation is not going away anytime soon so wake up and deal with it.

Unsure why parents are solely relying on the schools to hand out discipline measures for their children’s action. Schools can only do so much with educating our child/ren on underlying health risks of such decision, etc.
These rebellious actions have been around for many school terms. All triggered with their own reasons. Maybe as a parent this might be a notice to actually pay attention/focus on the daily lives of our child/ren and make time for them.
Take responsibility for your child.
P.S. – Hope these children in question didn’t get the bash.

Excuse me parents! You have no one to blame but yourself! What’s that famous saying “Clean your own backyard before you go blahblah!’ Stop putting the blame on others and learn to accept the fact that your kids are doing this.
Now what are you going to do about it besides taking your anger out on others! Kids these days sneak out with their friends and do so many things that we parents know nothing about, just like we all did! It’s called sitting your kids down and having a talk and be patient with the process on getting the kids to slowly give it up. It doesn’t happen overnight, it takes time.

It’s called don’t leave your vape lying around for the kids to take and put it in their pocket then go show off at school. Educate at home and at school. Kids will always be kids. But pay attention, check their bags, their rooms even their pockets at home. At school, educate them with penalties – if you bring this to school then this is the punishment. No one is to blame for this. It’s the decisions that are made that are disappointing.
