Letter: Vacancy for new Police Commissioner
Lawyer Norman George. 23040540

Dear Editor, I write to the Minister of Police and to the public, for the position of Commissioner of Police. This application is out of despair, sadness and desperation to help.

A former New Zealand Police Detective, Senior Sergeant, and qualified commissioned officer without receiving the rank as I resigned before promotion, based in Auckland.

1.       I hold a LLB law degree from Auckland University.

2.       I am a former Deputy Prime Minister and Member of Parliament, Cook Islands.

3.       I am a practising barrister and solicitor now and for the past 25 years.

4.       I offer to serve as a Temporary Commissioner for 2 years, without pay.

During the 2 years I shall conduct reforms like you have never seen.

I shall advance recruiting, training, and continue training after graduating from recruit training.

I shall also recruit and induct my replacement.

I seek one privilege, and that is to be picked for work and back home.   I will adopt glide time, working at any time day and night, seven days a week, no annual leave or public holidays for me.    I will be civil, pleasant to work with, but disciplined and no nonsense.

Violence and drug dealings will be targeted to the maximum.

Is my age a problem, I can go 3 rounds in the ring with anyone of any age.   Give me a memory test any time, debate with me in Court, Parliament or public. My motto….”he who dares wins…”    I know I am not the PM’s favourite uncle. I never cry, so I won’t if this letter is ignored.   Happy New Year to our beautiful people and our most welcome visitors.

Yours Sincerely,

Norman George.
