Oh, how good, wonderful and pleasant to see another stretch of road taking good shape from Avana bridge through Muri community and Titikaveka’s but only a stone throw away – nicely widened, side water trenches upgraded and soon the finishing touch of hot mix tarsealing.
Yes, decent road systems got to be the much needed and urgently required infrastructure development project because they do not only save and lessen unnecessary vehicle damages and human accidents. Roads also serve and offer the most essential delivery services to all much-needed venues such as hospitals, schools, shops, banks, airport, shipping ports, churches, community halls, hostels, tourist accommodations, people’s homes, plantations, businesses, parliament, all government offices and cemeteries – sure should all be accorded exceptional topmost priority.
Due credit and honour should also be accorded to all roadside landowners foremost, for without them we wouldn’t have roads but still using primitive type tracks only to all the above venues. Indeed, a pleasure to see on TV and in newspapers expert tarsealing Triad manager Mr Chris Vaile explain clearly the job plans before work started and Ngatangiia MP Hon. Tukaka Ama appealing for calm, peace, support and cooperation from his own constituency and that this beautiful work be completed for all to enjoy. Finally, big meitaki maata to all the roadworkers, including even the pothole master fillers.
Let’s see it extend speedily to a more complete island circle, then to our backroads and all other in-roads. “Save now, I beseech thee, O Lord: Lord (Jesus), I beseech thee, send NOW prosperity” – Psalm 118:25. Amene!
