Letter: PM’s visit to China

Dear Editor, There should not be any complaint from taxpayers if it turns out that we have to part fund the PM's state visit to China for several reasons.

The PM will put us on the world stage and might even knock Trump off the headlines for half a day when the PM publicly raises with China its abuse of the indigenous Uighur peoples and the tiny Cook Islands makes it clear that we are not afraid of the giant.
If China does not immediately put the PM on the next plane out, the PM can then bring up the debacle of TMV and the legacy handed over to TTV, of the cost of repairing the "free" courthouse and the Police station that rumour has it will have to be pulled down before it falls down.
Should be an exciting trip.
