What is not comforting is the apparent fact that our prison has a revolving door where convicts can walk out, be collected by ‘family’ and head home for the delights of home including meals, fellowship, conjugal connections, and gardening at the family Airbnb while earning $300 a night from tourists.
This writer would be shocked, but, sadly, not surprised, to read a front-page story in future that the rapist’s family had hired him to work at the family garden within sight of school children at play.
