Legalise pakalolo, fight hard drugs

The flow of heroin, cocaine, fentanyl and methamphetamines into Rarotonga is unmatched and these hard core drugs are taking a real foothold in the demise of many Cook Islanders and our society as a whole.

In your newspaper on 18-11-24 ,Tina Browne stated she shares Norman George's concerns about the deeply troubled state of our Police Services under the current government.

Then why doesn't Tina do something about it and help the police out?

Tina could introduce a Bill to legalise pakalolo and the end of its prohibition would allow the police to turn their efforts away from busting.

our people's pakalolo activity that well over half of the population is engaged in and just focus on the highly addictive abovementioned drugs

People want to plant  their own pakalolo for many reasons, they use it to alleviate ailments, they use it for euphoria to help in coping with all of the stress of this BS world, they want to grow pakalolo to save money because they are getting ripped off and if they could grow their own they would have a lot more money for themselves to stave off the high price of just about everything in the Cook Islands and they want to grow it to sell to dispensaries to make money.

It is so hypocritical to prohibit all pakalolo activity because well over half our mamas and papas are turning to it more than ever because of its medicinal and recreational use.

I have a plan for pakalolo legalisation that fits the needs of our people.

The politicians of the Cook Islands need to face reality and for whatever reason they are stigmatising pakalolo needs to stop.

Legalise pakalolo.

Give the people what they want.
