Apparently because CIIC deems it much more important to house sports admin people in that building, rather than looking after the welfare, safety and future of our pre-schoolers and mokos. Really ridiculous decision. Minister Mac Mokoroa, as MP for Nikao, as well as Minister for Sports? He is also the Minister for Education. You need to shut this down. Show your mana, and show some guts! Stand up for what is right for our community. Fletcher Melvin as chairman of CIIC, you need to get involved here, display some courage and leadership, and change this incredibly stupid and ill-thought-out decision. You may even have had your kids attend this school in their early years … are the kids of today less important? Albert Nicholas, as CIIC Minister, you too should get involved, and turn this ridiculous decision around. If CIIC wants to develop a sports admin hub, then utilise the houses on the corner of the main road, where you want to send those tiny VIPs, who are the future of the Cook Islands … no shade, no trees, vehicle fumes, road safety issues. Leave the preschool where it is!
